Assetto Corsa Rally VR is Still a Top Priority
Development of virtual reality support for Assetto Corsa Rally is ongoing, and the studio continues to treat this feature as a primary priority.
Currently, the rally simulation runs in virtual reality via unofficial modifications. Tools like the UEVR Injector provide this, though it is not native support from Supernova Games Studios.
At the November unveiling, Game Director Irvin Zonca said the team would add virtual reality once an initial version met a suitable standard. At that point, they planned to release it during Early Access, but more work was needed.
Zonca gave an update during a fan question-and-answer session on 19 March 2026. He confirmed VR is still among the team’s top priorities, but said there is no release date. Development continues, although other demands have slowed progress.
The studio is focusing on introducing online multiplayer, which uses most available resources. Zonca said the team is small, so staff cannot be split equally across all areas. As a result, VR work progresses slowly but continues.
Zonca also indicated that the team recognises the importance of VR for a simulation racing title. The feature remains firmly placed among the highest priorities.
The early access rally simulation will also include a rally academy feature to help new players learn the sport and improve. Zonca drew inspiration from his visit to the Phil Price Rally School in Wales. However, this content is deprioritised until core systems, such as multiplayer, physics, and VR, are complete.
During the same session, the team also indicated that upcoming vehicle additions will include one Subaru model and one Peugeot model from the 1990s.
